Today (15 Oct 2018), Saigon Heat officially announce about the departure of Davonte Lacy. The American Guard will not play for us in ABL 9 for personal reason. Saigon Heat wish him the best for his career.

In the meantime, Saigon Heat also welcome Trevon Hughes, the American Guard who is going to play for us in this season. Coach Kyle Julius is really pleased for this addition: Trevon has tremendous experience and proven himself in some of the best leagues in Europe. Trevon is an elite defender and he plays with an extremely high basketball IQ. He will bring us much needed leadership and toughness.”

Just look at his resume and you will know how good he is. Has been playing throughout the US and Europe, Trevon has won so many awards for himself, such as Player of the year, Import of the year, Best Guard of the year, Defensive player of the year… Moreover, he has been at NBA Draft and played for Houston Rockets at NBA Summer League in 2010.

Playing really well at both Point Guard and Shooting Guard, Trevon Hughes is a total package. Not only he is a great playmaker, Trevon is also a scoring machine. His athletic and his basketball IQ is what separates him from other players. And he is also a great defender (has won multiple Defensive player of the year award, and lead multiple league for most steals).

Trevon Hughes is a total package.

Trevon also expresses his excitement for this new challenge: “I am very happy to be apart of Saigon Heat. Also, excited to meet the coaching staff, my new teammates, and everyone that’s involved with Saigon Heat. Can’t wait to play for the fans. It’s all about them – they are one of the reasons why players play hard. We do it for them. It’s my first time in Asia, and I don’t know anything about Vietnam. But that what’s makes it fun and exciting for me.”
