Alongside Tam Dinh, Chris Charles, and Gary Forbes, Saigon Heat has recently welcomed Vincent Nguyen as part of their ABL 10 roster.
As of now, Saigon Heat has announced three players that will be serving as the small forward, power forward, and center for their ABL lineup. The latest addition to the team will be Vincent Nguyen – who was recently awarded as the VBA 2019’s ‘Heritage player of the Year’. The young ABL rookie will be assigned as one of Saigon Heat’s point guards. Having been trained in the Netherlands, Vincent Nguyen is expected to be a quality addition to the team. Vincent has already been considered as one of the VBA’s rising stars and has earned countless praises for his impressive performance in the league.

Based on his statistics, the 24-year-old player lead in assists during his first year of playing at the VBA - reaching a whopping total of 95 assists and an average of 5.6 assists per game.
In the latest VBA season, Vincent Nguyen managed to break his previous record - achieving an average of scoring 15.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 3.1 steals per game. Through his efforts, Vincent helped Ho Chi Minh City Wings make a return to the playoffs round after two consecutive years of absence.
This will be Vincent’s first time playing in the ABL. He will be reunited with the newly appointed assistant coach, Matt Van Pelt - who also previously worked for the Hanoi Buffaloes in the VBA 2018.

Commenting on the new player, head coach Kevin Yurkus states: “Vincent Nguyen has been one the most consistent players in the VBA over the past 3 seasons and was rewarded with the VBA Heritage Player of the Year in 2019. Vincent’s level of play has earned him a roster spot for SGH in ABL 10. His leadership and command of the game will make him a key member for SGH this upcoming season.”
