Christien Charles first played for Saigon Heat in the 2016–17 ABL season.

Charles was also awarded Co-Defensive Player of Year (along with Alab Pilipinas’ Renaldo Balkman) when he suited up for the Singapore Slingers after averaging 16.5 rebounds, 2.9 blocks, and 1.0 steals per game, to go with 22.8 points and 2.8 dimes in the 2017–18 ABL season.

Having the ability to control his play, along with his extensive experience and deep understanding of SEA basketball, Christien Charles promises to be the perfect complement to Saigon Heat in ABL 10. Commenting on Christien’s return, coach Kevin Yurkus states: “We are very excited to bring back one of our former players, Christien Charles. He has been a fixture of basketball in the ABL and SE Asia for many years. He brings a championship pedigree and a high level of professionalism to our organization.
